…::: To Uber or Not to Uber :::…

To all my blog supporters who uses Uber when they are travelling abroad. Word of Advice: Take a picture BEFORE you enter the vehicle and AFTER you leave the vehicle because apparently there are some drivers out there wrongfully accusing people of incidences and as a result Uber automatically charges you a Cleaning Fee.

Woke up this morning to find out that I was charged an extra USD150 cleaning fee for a “mess” that was left by me. I immediately responded and quoted Shaggy saying “It wasnt me” and requesting a refund.

They then responded to me saying that unfortunately it cannot be refunded and then sent pictures with vomit on the floor and on the backseat of the car. I was so confused and very upset at this point. I immediately responded because clearly I was being wrongfully accused. I said that this is very serious issue and it would NOT be taken lightly especially when it is an incident that was not caused by me. I also told them that I noticed there seems to be many accounts of customers being wrongfully accused and being charged of a cleaning cost that didnt involve them. See link below:

After 3 rounds of back and forth emails they respond saying that after further review they will refund the cost of USD150. I was now bout to call ABC, NBC, CNBC, FOX, DISNEY, AND CARTOON NETWORK and blast UBER but I am thankful that it didn’t get to that point.

This message is a warning to all Uber passengers and blog followers planning to use Uber. Please take pictures before and after you leave the vehicle and protect yourself against drivers that may be out go scam you on cleaning fees. #uber #uberissues #clearningfees #wrongfullyaccused #protectyourself
